ATLANTA — The Southeast Booksellers Association (SEBA)
puts on the largest and most important trade show for bookstores and the book
publishing industry in general in the South each year. As a publisher, I always
attend.
Read on to see how Mike and Roger’s book is being
received in the book trade.
What a difference a year can make in a book’s
popularity. Last year, there was little evidence of THE WEEKEND MILLIONAIRE. The
publisher’s salespeople knew the book was in their catalog but little about
it.
This year—after having been the number one selling real
estate-related book in America—the book was prominently featured, literally
front and center in McGraw-Hill’s display, and the salespeople quite
knowledgeable about the book and enthusiastically pushing it to the rivers of
bookstore buyers streaming through the display hall.
Moving on, I found my own new book, while not about
real estate—Bush/Kerry and Their OTHER Cousins!—was also being
well-received. Find out more information at: here
In general, we had a very enjoyable show and Atlanta, as
usual, was hot, crowded, and growing like crazy. What a place to be a real
estate investor, eh?
I especially recommend investing in Atlanta’s interstate
highways (I-85, I-285, I-75). Some of the largest parking lots I’ve ever seen.
Gotta be profitable or so many cars would not stop there!
